Tapping the insert with a 10-32 UNF tap and using a spring loaded
center to keep the tap straight. This insert was later discarded and
a new insert was made without the hole drilled because upon inspection
of the block, it was later determined that the original hole in the
block which there was a remnant of at the bottom of the repair bore
(it had been previously repaired) was determined to be in at an angle
instead of perpendicular to the top of the block. As a consequence
another insert was made and fitted to the block. |
