50's Tailpiece Replica's
Finally, an exact replica of a 50's lightweight tailpiece. Identical in every detail for "that sound". The only tailpiece on the market with correct contour on top for better intonation and tone. Weight is identical to the 50's tailpieces within milligrams (average weight between 30 and 32 grams). Tailpieces for Les Paul Juniors and Specials have adjustment screws and grooved back without counter bores just like the originals. Tailpieces for Standards and Customs have counter bores for string balls on the backside. All manufacturing methods used on the original units were retained for the utmost authenticity in tone and appearance.

Studs/Bushings for 50's Tailpiece
Set of matching studs and bushings for your 50's replica bridge. Originals were carefully measured and tolerances tightly monitored to give you this exact replica with a tighter fit for your TailPiece. Made out of steel, not brass or zinc like most others, for better transference of vibration from the TailPiece to the body. Improves tone and resonance. A perfect complement to a PigTail Music lightweight tailpiece. Bushings are not plated. Also available in case hardened steel as special order.

A variety of vintage components were measured and inspected to arrive at the most vintage authentic unit, while using dimensions from vintage units that collectively provided the least amount of freeplay for rattle-free use. Our saddles and screws snap in positively, to allieviate the fear of losing a screw and saddle should you break a string on a gig. Saddles are made using identical materials and methods used during the late 50's. as witnessed by the correct machining marks. Screws are made in the same manner. The result is a product rivalling the finest examples of late 50's manufacturing.
For those more adventurous, we have these units available in the same light Hi-tensile alloy we use in our 50's Stopbars and Wraps. We also have posts made of the same alloy and heat-treat process we use with our 50's studs, along with the thin 50's style thumbwheels.

Wrap-Around Intonatable Tailpiece
Our new Intonatable Tailpiece is a direct retrofit for Gibson, Epiphone PRS, PRS Import, Hamer, and Hamer Import guitars with non-intonatable wrap-around bridges. Will also work as a direct replacement for low neck angle/low neck set guitars such as PRS and Early Les Paul/Les Paul Jr's. It is constructed of lightweight aluminum with plated brass screws and is easily one third of the weight of similar bridges on the market (averages 40 to 42 grams in weight). Now you can have the great vintage tone of a wrap around bridge and an intonated guitar. Relict finish available as special order.
